Lacework Adoption Spikes, Protects More Than 50,000 Instance-Hours Per Day in First Month on the Market

AWS Marketplace, New Enterprise Deployments and Strategic Executive Hires Position Company for High-Velocity Leadership

June 1, 2017

Mountain View, Calif. – June 1, 2017– Lacework™, a provider of cloud workload security solutions, today announced new customer adoption, industry accolades, product updates on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace, and an expanded executive team. These developments demonstrate the company’s momentum and continuing leadership in high velocity cloud security solutions. Polygraph, Lacework’s cloud workload security solution, instantly detects breaches, manages insider threats, delivers insights into workloads, and supports security investigations for hybrid cloud workloads.

“This is an exciting time for Lacework. After only one month on the market, we are already seeing rapid adoption of our Polygraph platform,” said Jack Kudale, CEO, Lacework. “Since our launch, Polygraph has grown to protect more than 50,000 instance-hour of cloud workloads every day. We’ve been honored with several awards, strengthened our executive bench through new hires and added new partner agreements and enterprise customer deployments. We are incredibly optimistic about the year ahead.”

The company’s latest AWS release includes new deployment capabilities that can install Polygraph on AWS installations in just three mouse clicks. Polygraph also now supports AWS SaaS Contracts on AWS Marketplace to speed and simplify the acquisition and billing process.

“Cybercriminals have become incredibly agile. If we can’t keep up with our adversaries, we lose,” said Alex Schlager, Executive Director Security, Product and New Business Innovation at Verizon. “The Lacework Polygraph solution delivers velocity at every stage of the process – from acquisition, to installation, to start up and on through investigation and remediation. With Polygraph, cybersecurity teams are finally as fast as the cybercriminals.”

Lacework is expanding their leadership team with the appointment of Isabelle Dumont as Vice President of Marketing. Dumont brings an academic background in artificial intelligence and more than a decade of Marketing experience at disruptive technology companies including BlueTalon, Palo Alto Networks and SEVEN Networks. Dumont joins an expanded go-to-market team in Lacework’s new facility in Mountain View, California. Lacework is also expanding its core engineering team with the appointment of Prab Reddy, formerly of Elastica and Hewlett Packard, as Director of UI Engineering, and Satya Podury, formerly of Trustwave and 8×8, as Director of QA Engineering.

“Lacework’s journey may be just beginning,” noted Isabelle Dumont, Vice President of Marketing, Lacework. “However, our progress so far is nothing short of astonishing. We will become a major force in cybersecurity in 2017 and I could not be more excited to be a part of it.”
