Lacework welcomes new Chief Financial Officer, Andrew Casey

Abstract architectural photo shot from the ground. Features a lot of modern windows and steel.Today, I’m thrilled to announce that I have joined Lacework as its new Chief Financial Officer. Lacework truly understands the security needs of modern businesses. The company’s unique, data-driven  approach to cloud security sets it apart in a rapidly changing market and makes it the leading cloud-native application protection platform (CNAPP). This is just one of many reasons why I chose to join the company in its mission to disrupt the cloud security space.

As a strategic advisor to the Board, the CFO plays an important role in risk identification, management, and mitigation. It’s no mystery that with economic conditions forcing businesses to reevaluate their budgets, the CFO is now tasked with ensuring their organization’s investments in security matches that of the current risk and threat landscape, and aligns with the value and importance of their organization’s technology infrastructure.

CFOs are taking an increasingly larger role in influencing and prioritizing cybersecurity decisions, and I look forward to using my experience to not only build Lacework for long-term success, but also to create enduring partnerships with our customers who are responsible for the financial security of their organizations.

In my experience at WalkMe, I helped the company create a strong go-to-market focus on the enterprise and large enterprise markets and execute a successful IPO in June 2021. My background in and understanding of the cloud technology industry also runs deep. I served as SVP of Finance and Business Operations of ServiceNow, as well as  spearheaded financial management for  software companies Oracle and Symantec. I also led Finance for Hewlett-Packard’s Americas Enterprise Services division, managing more than $9B in annual revenue.

I am excited to bring my  experience to Lacework, where I  will focus on leading the company toward continued growth and profitability.

In recent days we have also brought on a CMO, Meagen Eisenberg and in addition to Christopher Gilbert as Vice President, Global Technical Services and Faraz Siraj as Vice President, Americas Channels. Chris joins Lacework from DataBricks, where he most recently led the company’s technical sales team as VP of Americas Field Engineering. He will put his technical sales expertise to use leading all technical go-to-market services at Lacework. And Faraz, who most recently led channel sales at Code42, will leverage his more than 25 years of experience in security sales to deepen relationships within the Lacework Channel Partner Program.

I can’t wait to see Lacework continue to thrive and to help play a role in building  world class cloud security solutions.
